Das Ziel ist die räumliche Analyse und funktionelle Interpretation einzelnen Objekte, die bei der Untersuchung im Frühjahr und Sommer 2019 entdeckt wurden, und sie dann in historischen und archäologischen Kontext einzuordnen.
Medieval building offerings from the archaeological perspective

This bachelor thesis deals with intentional deposits, a material evidence of customs connected with the foundation and construction of medieval buildings. The general principles of building offering recognition in the archaeological contexts were formulated on the basis of archaeological, written and ethnographical sources. Difficulties with their interpretation and terminology were discussed pursuant to the current discourse in European archaeology. Individual archaeological findings in the area of today's Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia from 6th to 16th century are presented and evaluated. Their list is also contained in the catalogue, which is put to this thesis. The main aim of the master thesis is an evaluation of archaeological textiles from the site Na Rejdišti 1 - Praha 1, which are coming from the rubbish dump. They are dated from the 16th to the 18th century. Key sources of information are analogical situations coming mainly from Poland and Germany where the textile fragments have been evaluated from rubbish dumps, water wells, cesspits and sewers. Ceramik inventory from eastern and southern tract of Vízmburk

Vízmburk castle was from 13th to 15th century an important center in the upper reaches of the river Úpa and his research in the years 1972 - 1983, led by Antonín Hejna gained valuable findings fund. This fund has not been evaluated yet, only in part. These bachelor thesis will deal with the ceramic finds from eastern and southern wings of the castle Vízmburk. Its core becomes finding a catalog that critically build on the evaluation of ceramics Vízmburk. System of description distinguishes the basic technological and morphological categories and creates the basis for discussion of the castle supply ceramic and its utility equipment and board vessels. This issue will be included in the concept of medieval pottery in north-eastern Bohemia, especially in Trutnov and Náchod districts. Master's thesis deals with the micro-region Klánovice's forest and its surroundings on the eastern edge of the City Prague. This area has not been given comprehensive attention yet. The findings are based on a critical review of the humble written and archaeological sources relating to the concerned area. In addition, was made, analysis of archaeological excavation, which was carried out on the deserted village Hol and also geophysical survey from the same site. Based on the lessons learned to better classify and discuss the role of this area in the hinterland of high medieval Prague. Waste Objects in Towns in the High Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period in Relation to Archeo-zoological Discoveries

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the function of waste objects in the archeological record from the archeo-zoological point of view. The research part focuses on general information concerning hygiene and waste disposal in medieval and early modern cities. It also addresses the methods of waste objects research and the occurrence of animals in cities. The practical part summarizes the analysis results of the archeo-zoological assemblage from the town hall in České Budějovice which dates back to the High Middle Ages and the early modern period.

Geochemical methods in medieval archaeology: testing in the area of the deserted village Hol (Capital city of Prague)

This bachelor's thesis deals with the application of geochemical methods in the area of the deserted village Hol with a focus on phosphate analysis. The goal of the research of the area was to define the relative differences in the geochemical composition of soil in individual parts of intravilan and fields and contribute to the knowledge about their economic utilization. The evolution of the phosphate analysis in the world and in the Czech Republic with the focus on the issue of application of different methods used mainly in the medieval locations constitutes a significant part of the thesis. Natural conditions and other external effects influencing the content of phosphate in the soil were taken into account. The macroscopic observations during the probe digging proved the absence of a strong humic horizon in a place, where gardens were originally assumed. This absence could point to the location of economic buildings. The bleaching of upper soil horizons in the area could be caused by previous human activity; this phenomenon is connected not only to natural conditions, which are not opportune, but also to the absence of medieval tillage. The content of P in the assumed gardens does not differ greatly. It is relatively high which could indicate the presence of previous economic buildings or...
